Welcome to the website of Trojans Squash
Trojans Squash is part of The Trojans
Club, a non-profit making multi-sports club. A members club, originally
founded as a rugby club in 1874, it now provides squash, rugby, hockey and
cricket facilities for its members. The squash section has been in existence
since 1937. The section has been recently awarded a Silver Award under the
England Squash Club Charter and Sport England Club Mark schemes.
The Clubhouse, open seven days a week, houses four squash
courts (including two glass backed), bars, function room, changing rooms,
committee room and offices. In addition, a private company,
Therapeutics Southampton Ltd runs a fitness suite and extensive
physiotherapy suite, sited in two of the original squash courts
and a new extension, but to which members have access. There is also
a small sports shop.
The club runs its own internal leagues, club tournaments and has 5 men's, 3
veteran, one ladies and a junior team playing in their respective county
leagues. Coaching by an England Squash qualified coach is also available by
arrangement.
The club has an active
junior section, providing structured training and coaching sessions twice a
week for all children wishing to take up the game, either socially or
competitively.
